The Edible Garden

Gardening is so much fun!! You can you grow beautiful flowers, sit
under tall shade trees and eat your own fruit & veggies.

Our garden is very large compared to many. We have a small house
on a large 1/4 acre block in suburban Melbourne and we share our
garden with all the native wildlife. We don't spray chemicals or use
manufactured fertilisers. Our garden is natural & organic.

So, how do our bunnies
help us with our garden???
With compost of course!!

Each of our bunnies or
pairs has indoor litter trays
filled with fresh hay and
replaced every day.

The soiled hay is piled up into a giant compost heap. The natural breakdown of
the hay turns it into a wonderful rich and moist organic mulch & soil additive that
helps us grow magnificent organic food for ourselves & our bunnies.

We grow celery in pots,
and carrots in hanging
baskets.

We grow herbs and
other veggies amongst
native & exotic plants in
the garden.
